I hope you all watched the season finale of How I Met Your Mother last night! Becki Newton once again appeared as Barney’s love interest Quinn in some key scenes leading up to the big reveal of Barney’s bride. This is fantastic! FOX has announced its first series pickups for the 2012-13 season and one of them is The Goodwin Games!! The comedy starring Becki Newton, Scott Foley and Jake Lacey as three estranged siblings, has gotten a series order. The three are brought back together when their father passes away and they are instructed that they inherit his fortune… if they follow his conditions. The announcement will be made at the Upfronts next week, with Becki (hopefully!) attending the event. I’m so excited to have our Becki back on TV in a leading role – finally!

After a short hiatus, How I Met Your Mother returned with a new episode last night. Becki Newton once again reprised her role as Barney’s love interest Quinn, and even though she didn’t have that much screentime I can’t wait to see where the writers are going with their storyline. Just as I had hoped, Becki Newton stepped out to support husband Chris Diamantopoulos at the world premiere of The Three Stooges. She looked absolutely stunning (one of my favorite looks ever) in an Erdem dress, walking down the red carpet at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. 43 gorgeous pictures have been added to our photo gallery. The Three Stooges arrives in theaters this Friday (April 13).

As all you Becki-fans know (how could you have missed it!) she got her big break on ABC’s Ugly Betty, where she played the bitchy (but sometimes nice) receptionist (but wannabe-celebrity) Amanda. She instantly became a fan-favorite, as Amanda and Michael Urie’s Marc delivered the funniest lines and sub-plots week after week. Almost 4,000 DVD screencaptures, promotional photos and stills have been added to our gallery.

Thanks to The Examiner (via Unofficial HIMYM), we have more information about The Goodwin Games and the production. Shooting will begin March 28 in Los Angeles of the show, from the executive producing team that brought us How I Met Your Mother. The Goodwin Games is a single camera comedy that follows three siblings who must indulge their recently deceased father’s wishes that they compete against each other to determine which one inherits his $23 million fortune. If picked up, the show will air on FOX, which ordered the pilot only if Becki Newton signed on to star as Coney Goodwin. Her character is described as a math wiz and perfectionist as a child, however she ends up becoming a Las Vegas cocktail waitress who gets fired just before her father dies.

First of all, sorry for the lack of updates as of late. It’s been really quiet in Becki-land, and I’ve been busy offline. However, here’s an update for y’all to enjoy! What’s it all about?
Follows three siblings whose father dies and leaves them a large inheritance, but only one of them can receive the money, and only if they pass a series of tests.

What we thought:
Extremely high concept in the same way as How I Met Your Mother with a great mixture between laugh out loud comedy and genuine emotional moments. 7/10

Will we ever see it?
This is probably the best and most well conceived sitcom pilot of the season, and with the newly found success of How I Met Your Mother I think it is very likely we will be seeing more of this crazy family and their father’s games. 8/10

I hope everyone tuned in to CBS and How I Met Your Mother last night, as we saw the return of Becki Newton’s Quinn! She did a great job portraying both the cold-hearted business-side of her character as well as the likeable and sweet part. Don’t you think?
